Oak Bay front yard

As part of extensive renovations of this early 1900s house, the front yard is transformed into a secluded courtyard accessed through a gate. Crisp low hedges provide year-round structure and contrast with the lush, soft plantings. A bench positioned in the alcove creates a strong focal point and is a lovely spot to rest and enjoy the garden.

A gravel and stone pathway lined with plantings invites you into the property and links the house to the garden.

The deer-proof, abundant plantings have been carefully selected to withstand drought, as there is no irrigation system on site.
